Bravery Academy · You Are Not to Blame
See the situation from another angle.
Explore one situation, identify your share of responsibility, and choose a concrete next step. The app guides you through a 12-step Responsibility Pie practice and keeps your notes in a local vault on your device.
The complete practice and three introductory articles are free. Pro adds 17 more articles and deeper review of your saved practice.
We’re preparing the Android app for public release. No launch date has been announced.
For independent reflection and educational journaling, ages 18+. The app does not provide medical or crisis support.
One situation. 12 steps. Your own summary.
If “this is all my fault” makes it difficult to examine a situation, start with what happened. Then consider your actions alongside other people’s actions and the circumstances. Finish with a summary in your own words and one action within your influence.
Describe the situation.
Prompts at each step give your notes a structure. You can pause the practice and return to your draft.
Consider the contributing factors.
Distribute 100% across the factors in the situation. The pie represents your assessment, which you can revise; it is not an objective measurement of blame.
Choose a next step.
Save your summary, plan a concrete action, and return to your notes when you want to review them. Export an individual completed session as a PDF.

Planned US base price for Pro: USD 9.99, paid once. No subscription or automatic renewal. Google Play will show the final regional price in your currency before you pay.
Read full articles, review recurring patterns in your notes, and choose what to revisit in your next practice. Metrics describe your records and actions; they do not assess your mental health.
Return to your thoughts when you need to.
Your session history is stored in an encrypted vault on your device. Access to your own notes and data controls remain free. In Settings, you can export notes as JSON, create and restore an encrypted backup, or delete local data.
There is no automatic cloud sync. Before switching phones, make your own backup. JSON and PDF files are not encrypted; choose carefully where you save or share them. Copies saved elsewhere need to be deleted separately.
How privacy worksPractical questions
Do I have to pay to complete the practice?
No. All 12 steps, your summary, history, and PDF export of an individual completed session are available without Pro. Three introductory articles are also free to read in full. Pro adds 17 articles and tools for deeper practice review.
Is Pro a subscription?
No. A single purchase is planned, with no recurring charges. The US base price is USD 9.99. On Android, the purchase will take place inside the app through Google Play. The store will show the final regional amount in your currency before confirmation.
Which articles can I read without Pro?
Three articles are open in full: “When guilt becomes excessive,” “Responsibility Pie: all 12 steps,” and “Guilt, shame, and responsibility: different questions.” Their examples, reflection questions, references, and research limitations are also free. Every title, short description, and reading time in the 20-article library is open. Pro adds full access to the other 17; the app labels this access Premium.
How do I restore my purchase?
Sign in to Google Play with the account you used to buy Pro. Open the app’s Pro screen and select “Restore purchase.” Verification needs an internet connection. If access cannot be confirmed, contact support. Restoring a purchase restores Pro access; your notes are transferred separately using your backup.
Can I request a refund?
For a Google Play purchase, follow the refund request instructions and the current Google Play refund policy. Eligibility depends on the purchase and circumstances; approval is not guaranteed. You can also contact us if Pro is unavailable after a purchase.
Does it work offline?
Practice and saved notes are local. All texts are bundled with the app: the three introductory articles do not require Pro, and the other 17 are available with recognized Pro access. Purchases, restoring access, and opening external research sources need an internet connection. If verification cannot complete, the app shows your access status; this is not a promise of unrestricted Pro access on every new device.
What happens to my data?
Session content is stored locally in the vault. Payments and Pro verification use Google Play and RevenueCat; crash reports require separate consent. When exporting files yourself, you choose the destination. See the app-specific privacy policy for details.
Does deleting my notes cancel my purchase?
Deleting local notes does not cancel the purchase. Export your notes first if you want to keep a copy. Use the same Google Play account to restore Pro access.
Is AI available?
No. The AI assistant is in development and is not available yet. It is not included in this Pro offer. No launch date has been announced.
Is this a medical app?
This is a tool for independent reflection and educational journaling for adults aged 18+; the eligibility requirements in the terms apply. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. For medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, consult a qualified healthcare professional. It does not provide crisis support.
How do I contact support?
Email hey@bravery.academy. For technical questions, tell us your phone model, app version, and the steps that led to the problem. You do not need to send personal notes or backups. No response time is promised.
